Have I mentioned how much I love designing wedding stationery?! It was so exciting to start working on our wedding invitations but there were so many different ideas running around in my head! I knew I wanted to carry on the black, white and dusky pink vintage theme so I did some more research (Pinterest and Etsy, of course) and found some awesome ideas.
With the wording, we decided to keep it very simple and informal, with:
Boy and Girl Meet
Boy and Girl Fall In Love
For the Rest of the Story
We decided to go with a small black pocket folder with a white card with the main details glued inside. A smaller card tucked inside the pocket included the RSVP details then cute ‘liquorice devine twine’ wrapped the whole lot together. We used ‘darkroom tags’ attached to the front with each guests name hand stamped, along with our wedding logo, of course. The envelopes were a white linen texture and we printed addresses on the front using an old typewriter font. All fonts used in the invitations were the same as used in the Save the Date postcards.
They were pretty fiddly to assemble. Mr M was great at cutting the card nice and straight and he also took care of all the envelope licking 🙂
This is how it all came together:
But my very favourite bit is the custom embosser we ordered from Tiny Prints to add our return address to the back of the envelopes:
