It is time to get in shape!  There is nothing that increases ones motivation to ‘lose the bulge’ quite like the thought of donning a wedding dress and posing for hundreds of photos that will be treasured for a lifetime.

Always one to try the ‘quick fix’, so far I have tried Cell IQ (shooting lasers at my bum), diet pills (not a good idea first thing in the morning on an empty stomach), Lite n’ Easy and Jenny Craig.

Jenny Craig is fantastic.  For someone with a very busy lifestyle, it is perfect.  You don’t have to plan meals, measure every portion, count calories or any of that ‘hard stuff’.  You just eat what you are told and confess your sins once a week.  I am 11kgs lighter than when I first started, so it really does work.  However – it is very expensive.  And so are weddings.  I would rather spend the money on the wedding.

So as we approach the 3 month mark I have taken on a radical new approach: eating well and exercising.  Ok, so I might have a couple of toys to help me – my shiny new heart rate monitor (to ensure I am training at the peak fat burning rate) and the ‘My Fitness Pal’ app on my iPhone.  But I am determined to lose the last couple of kgs the old fashioned way.
